Joslyn Renae

What a timely baby. Just one day from the original due date my little niece was born at 3:18 Saturday morning.

Janet was so great and although the rest of us were seriously tired the next day, as hard and determined Janet was during labor, she wins the prize.

I love my brother!!!! He is so in love with is his daughter. We have made him hold babies in the past and he was always nervous. As you can see now he can't get close enough.

It's so strange that my little brother is a dad. And so fun that I get to be the closest family around. (I've already had a heart-to-heart with Joslyn about that.) I couldn't help but hold her and think of all the scary things in my life and hoping she will be spared from heartache and stay as perfect as she is right now. Then I thought of all the wonderful things about life she will get to experience too and remembering that the hard times give way to good. I can't wait for those good times and I am glad she is surrounded by love and care for the bad times too. The miracle of birth makes a person so reflective.

Audrey rocks out!!!!

I know commercials can get more than irritating, but I laughed uncontrollable watching this one during on of my guilty pleasures, Dancing with the stars:

Isn't that great!!!! I love Audrey Hepburn and although she might be rolling in her grave due to the fact that her classic dancing in Funny Face with none other than FRED ASTAIRE is being messed with by computers and AC/DC I think this it's perfect mixing the old with the new. Although I must say that no matter how clever the marketing is unless my hips shrink about 10 sizes you will never see me in skinny pants.
